Appuchi Graamam is a science fiction drama set in a rustic village, produced by Vshnu Muralee and Senthil Kumar under the banner Eye Catch Multimedia. They have earlier produced internationally acclaimed film “A Gun and A Ring” which had won many awards in international film festivals. Their passion towards producing films with unique concept and universal appeal had led them to choose Appuchi Graamam which has an interesting storyline which is very new to Tamil audience. Vi Anand, a former assistant of AR Murugadoss is venturing as a director with his maiden project Appuchi Graamam. Talking about his new exciting project, the director said, “what happens when we suddenly come to know that we are just left with 8 more days to live…What all changes will happen because of that.. this idea is the core concept of Appuchi Graamam”.
Appuchi Graamam has an interesting star cast. Kanja Karuppu, Singam Puli, G.M. Kumar, “Kumki” Joseph, Meera Krishnan, Swasika and Suja play crucial roles along with promising newcomers Praveen, Anusha, Prakash and Pazhani. Nasser and Kitty who played crucial roles in the movie “Bombay” are coming together again to play very important roles in this movie.
Prasad G.K who earlier worked with Hollywood Cinematographer Ben Hudson is the cinematographer of this movie. Vishal. C, from A. R. Rahman School of music is the music director of this film. His music in recently released “Inam” got wide spread appreciation from both the critics and audience. Art director Sateesh Kumar of “Onayum Aattu kuttiyum” fame had come up with some stunning set works which also includes a 23 feet meteoroid stone. Dialogues had been penned by S.Jinesh and Zashi Qmar is the editor.
Most part of the movie is shot in a small village called Venkutapuram near Palladam in Tiruppur District. Film includes lots of never seen before Computer Graphics work which will most definitely grab audience’s attention. Owing to its fresh theme and genre, it will most definitely attract audience of all age groups.
The team is gearing up for its audio launch which is going to be held in Sathyam theatre on May 4th with prominent movie stars and celebrities.
